THE LIDO OPEN-AIR POOL

Q - Can I buy a season ticket?

A – Yes. Season ticket prices change as the season progresses, so it's best to contact the Lido for current prices.

Q – Can I skip the queue with a season ticket?

A – Yes, go to the turnstile and swipe through.

Q – Will the Lido be open everyday?

A – Weather permitting yes. If weather conditions are consistently poor we may only open from 06.45 until 10.00 am on some mornings. Ring reception to check if uncertain.

Q – What time are the discounted Early Swim Times and Late Swim Times?

A – Early is 06.30 – 10.00 and Late is 18.00 – 20.00 only Mon – Fri

Q – Do you have safe storage?

A – Yes, on poolside we have a limited number of lockers available but we recommend that that you do not bring valuables.

Q – Is the Lido Non Smoking?

A – Yes.

Q – Can I bring Alcohol?

A – No.

Q – Is the Car park free?

A – Yes but please be considerate - do not block other people in and respect the accessible parking bays.

Q – What qualifies as a concession?

A – Student (must show SU card), low-waged and unwaged (must show social security proof), over 60 (must show proof – drivers license with dob possibly), registered disabled.

 

THE NEW HEALTH & FITNESS AREA

Q – When did the new health and fitness facilities open (the gym?)

A – Mid September 2007


Q – What facilities does it have?

A – 100 station gym – 3 studios – Hydrotherapy pool – Steam room and Sauna

Q – What equipment is available in the gym?


A – Cardio vascular and resistance Technogym and Star Trac equipment with built-in entertainment.

Q – What classes are offered in the studios?

A – Complete programme of fitness-based classes such as Bodypump and studio cycling. Also holistic classes such as yoga, pilates and meditation.


Q – Are the classes be included in membership?

A – Lifestyle members (members paying a direct debit/annual membership fee) will have most classes included; exceptions will be for the premier courses and the holistic timetable classes.

Q – Is it be possible to just pay and use the facilities without being a lifestyle member?


A – Yes, a pay and play option will be available for the facilities.

Q – Will I be able to have guidance in the gym or personal training?

A – Yes gym inductions and personal trainers will be available

Q – Is the gym accessible for persons with disabilities?


A – Yes, the building has total disability user access and the gym has disability-specific equipment.

Q – When can I join the gym?

A – Now! Please drop in and speak to a member of staff.


Q – How much is membership?

A – We have various options available, please speak to a member of staff who will help you choose the best option.
